Here’s what happens when you visit, subscribe, or use our tools.
Newsletter signups
Our signup form sends your email address to beehiiv, which we use to manage subscriptions and deliver the newsletter. Subscription records can include confirmation status, signup source, and email engagement. We use this information to operate the newsletter and understand what readers find useful.
You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter. For help accessing or deleting subscription information, email hello@statustbd.com from the address you used to subscribe. Unsubscribing stops newsletter delivery; it is different from requesting deletion of your record.
Website visits
Netlify hosts this website. Hosting and embedded-form services receive technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, when your browser connects to them. Our website currently has no advertising pixel. Our dedicated signup page uses beehiiv’s attribution script to forward campaign-link tags, such as source and campaign, to beehiiv so we can understand which links lead to subscriptions.
beehiiv may measure email delivery, opens, clicks, and signup activity. Email-client privacy features can affect those measurements. See beehiiv’s privacy policy and Netlify’s privacy policy for their practices, retention, and processing locations.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to automatically measure page visits and selected signup and download links. It uses cookies and browser information to help us understand which pages and campaigns bring readers to the site. We do not send your email address, résumé, tool entries, or confirmation tokens to Google Analytics. We limit campaign information to our configured labels and remove query strings and fragments from the page addresses we send.
Advertising personalization, Google signals, and automatic form tracking are disabled in this setup. User-level and event-level data retention is set to two months; aggregated reports may remain available for longer. Google processes this information as described in How Google uses information from sites that use its services. Browser settings and blocking tools can restrict analytics, and Google offers an Analytics opt-out browser add-on. Previously recorded, unexpired refusals remain respected. Newsletter subscriptions are measured separately in beehiiv.
Notes in our tools
The application, interview, recruiter-question, offer-check, and calendar tools process your entries in your browser. Their entries are not sent to Status: TBD or an AI service. Downloads are saved on your device. Opening a saved workspace reads that file locally.
Copying a prompt into another AI app shares it with that service under its own terms. Remove identifying or confidential details before sharing. Closing or refreshing a tool may erase unsaved work; we cannot recover notes that were not downloaded.
Messages and outside links
If you email us, we receive the address and information you include and use them to respond. Please do not send passports, immigration documents, or other sensitive records. Source links, social profiles, and job applications take you to services with their own privacy practices.
